Youth Tour to the Capital

During the month of June, Indiana’s electric cooperatives sponsor a group of students going into their senior year of high school to go on a life-changing educational adventure to Washington, D.C. This year, the youth tour trip will take place June 15-22.

Highlights of this seven-day trip include visits to historical monuments and museums, meetings on Capitol Hill with Indiana’s congressional delegation, the opportunity to make lifelong friends, and much more.

The 2025 Youth Tour trip's expenses are paid for students selected to participate.

Applications are closed for 2025.

Youth Power and Hope Awards

The Youth Power and Hope Awards is presented by Indiana Connection Magazine and the Indiana Electric Cooperatives. The annual program is for students in fifth through eighth grades who are active leaders in their community and whose parents live in Indiana. Being a leader in the community can mean anything from volunteering at your church to being involved with 4-H to helping support local hospitals or other community organizations.

All you have to do to enter is share how you’re making a positive difference in your community! Winners will receive $500 and be featured in an upcoming issue of Indiana Connection.

Applications are due Friday, October 4, 2024.

Note: The applicant's parent(s)/guardian(s) must be a member of an Indiana electric cooperative to apply.
