Meet Scholarship Recipient - Trevor Roberts
What is your name, what school do you go to, and what grade are you in?
Trevor Roberts, and I am in 8th grade at Wawasee Middle School.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your experience in 4-H?
I enjoy playing football, archery, hunting, and I’m good at working on equipment.
I have participated in 4-H for the past 5 years. In 4-H, I have been successful with the archery competition and building a rabbit breeding program.
How did you hear about our scholarship program?
My mom saw it in the KREMC Magazine, Indiana Connection.
How did receiving this scholarship make a difference for your 4-H project?
Earning the REMC 4-H scholarship allowed me to buy equipment so I can make my own arrows. I have also experimented with them to find out which arrows make me the best archer.
What did you learn through your 4-H project?
I learned that when arrow veins are turned more, it gives the arrow more lift. 4-H has also really helped me improve my public speaking skills through club demonstrations.
