A "Happy New Year" decoration hangs from a ceiling

A New Year Brings Renewed Energy

The new year brings opportunities and fresh energy. Here at KREMC, we are poised to take on the challenges that present themselves in 2024 with renewed vigor and positivity.

In 2023, our subsidiary fiber internet company Kosciusko Connect reached over 7,800 subscribers connected. We are currently well under way to building a fiber network to service over 90 residents of the town of Sidney. The project is facilitated by allocated funds from the Kosciusko County American Rescue Plan Act and is on track to be completed this year. We are thrilled for these residents of Sidney to have access to the reliable internet connection that has become necessary in our increasingly digital society, and proud to be the ones who connect them.

Due in large part to the growing Kosciusko Connect project, we added several new employees to our team over the course of the last year. These team members have already made an impact on our organization. From ensuring the efficient installation of our internet service in area homes and businesses, to providing excellent, local customer service, to expanding and developing new internal processes – the growth of our team ensures that KREMC and Kosciusko Connect are operating effectively.

While we are excited to be expanding our team, we are also fortunate in having several long-time employees who are integral to our success and growth. In December, we internally recognized several employees who celebrated milestone service anniversaries with us. We are thankful for these devoted team members and will acknowledge their contributions to KREMC later in this issue of Indiana Connection.

As we look back with gratitude and step forward into the new year with determination, we thank you, our valued members, for your support. Your engagement with our co-op community, including KREMC special events and the annual meeting, is appreciated. When it comes to our electric and internet services, we strive to keep your best interests in mind every step of the way. Your positive feedback and encouragement affirm that we are on the right track.

Let’s have another great year, together!
