We sat down with Hayden Parker to learn more about him.
What are you most excited about when it comes to your role as First Year Apprentice?
I’m most excited about the next four years of the program and continuing to learn and develop.
During your first year here what have been some of the challenging projects you have worked on?
Some of the most challenging projects have been the bigger rebuilds and working through storms.
What do you find most rewarding about working for a cooperative like KREMC?
What I find most rewarding about working at a cooperative is not just working for yourself but working for your community and working for each other. At the end of day all the guys on the line side have each other’s backs.
As you reflect back on your first year of service here, are there any moments that stand out as especially meaningful?
Some of the moments that stand out as especially meaningful is the bond you make with your co-workers. Everyone wants you to succeed and come home safely.
What else would you like to share with us regarding your life outside of work?
I love to spend time with my family and friends outside of work. I enjoy hunting and fishing and being outdoors.
