Powered by People: Meet the Leaders Behind KREMC

For most of us, electricity and internet service are things we simply expect. We flip a switch, stream a show, or send a message without a second thought. But behind every moment of connection is a team of dedicated people working to make it happen, planning, building, supporting, and serving the community every single day.
At Kosciusko REMC, leadership is more than titles it’s about service, relationships, and a shared commitment to the people who call this community home. From strategy and finance to technology, operations, marketing and communications and member support, each leader brings a unique perspective shaped by experience, values, and a deep sense of purpose.
Here’s a closer look at the people helping power both the cooperative and the community it serves.
Tim Landrigan, President & CEO

Tim Landrigan’s journey to President & CEO is a true example of growing from within. Starting as a billing clerk and working his way up over 15 years—while earning his degree along the way—Tim understands every layer of the cooperative.
Describing himself as “logical,” Tim leads with a steady hand and a focus on long-term stability. Under his leadership, KREMC has remained financially strong while expanding services like broadband to better serve members.
He’s energized by the future, particularly the combination of new technology and emerging talent within the organization. Yet his core message remains simple: everything KREMC does is about serving its members well. Outside of the office, Tim enjoys spending time with family, farming, and staying connected to the land and community the cooperative was built to serve.
Jon Justice, Vice President of Engineering & Operations

With 25 years of service, Jon Justice represents the backbone of KREMC’s operations. Starting as a groundman and working his way through the ranks, his career is built on hard work, dedication, and a deep respect for the field.
Describing himself as “committed,” Jon keeps reliability and safety at the forefront of everything he does. He has seen the industry evolve over the years, but one constant remains: the importance of teamwork.
Jon believes KREMC is more than a workplace; it’s a family. And for someone who has spent decades ensuring the lights stay on, that sense of purpose runs deep. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his own family, grounding him in the values he brings to work each day.
Rachel Miller, Vice President of HR & Executive Administration

With nearly 11 years at KREMC, Rachel Miller plays a vital role in shaping the organization’s culture. From onboarding employees to supporting leadership, she works behind the scenes to make sure people feel cared for and supported.
Rachel’s career path began in healthcare before naturally evolving into human resources, where her passion for helping people truly took root. She’s known for being someone employees can trust, whether they need guidance, reassurance, or simply someone to listen.
She’s especially proud of helping streamline internal processes, ensuring the cooperative runs smoothly while staying focused on its people-first mission. Outside of work, Rachel is most proud of being a mom and loves creating memories with her family.
Sondrea Hamilton, Chief Financial Officer

In her first year as CFO, Sondrea has brought both experience and a steady presence to KREMC. With more than two decades in senior living leadership, her journey reflects resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to growth.
Sondrea first discovered her passion for accounting in high school, drawn to the problem-solving and structure it provides. Over the years, she rose into executive roles before taking time to further her education and explore new industries—ultimately finding her place at KREMC.
Her leadership style is grounded in integrity and clear communication, shaped by lessons learned throughout her career. She’s driven not just by numbers, but by people—working to build strong systems while also mentoring future leaders.
At home, Sondrea’s greatest joy is her family, and she proudly looks forward to welcoming another grandchild soon.
Curt Barkey, Vice President of Technology & Broadband

When it comes to building the future of connectivity in the region, Curt Barkey is thinking years ahead. With 18 years at KREMC, he has played a central role in transforming the cooperative into a modern technology provider.
Describing himself as “strategic,” Curt focuses on long-term solutions that will serve the community for generations. His leadership in expanding Kosciusko Connect has helped bring reliable, high speed internet to rural areas, opening doors for business, education, and everyday life.
Despite working in a high tech field, Curt enjoys slowing things down outside of work. Whether he’s in his woodworking shop or out on the golf course, he finds satisfaction in building and refining things by hand, mirroring the same care he brings to his professional work.
Dalton Caley, Director of Business Development

For Dalton Caley, the cooperative spirit runs in the family. As a second-generation co-op employee, he grew up seeing firsthand the difference service-based work can make.
Eight years into his own career at KREMC, Dalton brings curiosity and drive to everything he does. He’s the type to ask questions, dig deeper, and take on new challenges whenever they arise. His work on cost-of-service studies highlights his commitment to fairness, ensuring members receive equitable and transparent pricing.
Dalton takes pride in being part of an organization that delivers reliable service at a lower cost, and he remains focused on strengthening a culture rooted in service. Outside of work, he stays active at the gym, sharpens his skills on the golf course, and enjoys time in the kitchen.
Stephanie Scott, Vice President of Member Services

For many members, Stephanie Scott is the voice of KREMC. After 18 years, she knows the cooperative from the ground up—starting at the front counter and working her way into leadership.
Stephanie describes herself as “caring,” and that care is evident in everything she does. Early in her career, she learned that leadership isn’t about distance; it’s about connection. She believes strong teams are built on trust and understanding, and she leads with a genuine desire to help both her team and KREMC members succeed.
She’s excited about how new technology, including AI, will improve efficiency while still preserving the personal touch members rely on. And even after a full day of supporting others, she finds joy in simple things—singing in the car during her commute, spending time with family, and creating meaningful connections wherever she goes.
Tara Haack, Vice President of Marketing & Communications

If you’ve ever read a KREMC update, seen a campaign, or felt especially informed about your services, you’ve experienced Tara Haack’s work. Describing herself as “creative,” Tara blends storytelling with strategy to ensure members feel informed, connected, and supported.
Her journey hasn’t followed a traditional path, and that’s what makes it so powerful. From graphic design to raising a family, to building a decade long career in the medical device industry, and eventually earning both her marketing degree and MBA, Tara has continually grown with intention. Today, she leads with a focus on connection, believing marketing isn’t about selling, it’s about serving.
Spend a little time around the office, and you’ll quickly see that Tara leads as a teammate first, always emphasizing collaboration over hierarchy. Outside of work, you’ll find her cheering at baseball games or planning future camping adventures with her family. Through it all, her mission remains clear: build meaningful connections that strengthen the entire community.
A Shared Purpose
While each leader brings a different background, skillset, and story, one thing remains consistent across the board: a commitment to service. At KREMC, leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about people. It’s about neighbors helping neighbors, teams supporting one another, and a shared mission to build a stronger, more connected community.
Whether it’s restoring power after a storm, answering a member’s question, expanding fiber access, or future planning, this team works together to ensure that the cooperative continues to grow while staying true to its roots.
Because at the end of the day, KREMC isn’t just powering homes, it’s powered by the people who care enough to serve them.
