Warsaw, Ind. (May 12th, 2026) – Kosciusko REMC (KREMC) volunteered at Tracey’s Trailer Bike Safety Rodeo on Friday, May 1st as a part of KREMC’s Wired to Serve Program. This program is new this year and provides quarterly opportunities for KREMC employees to serve at local non-profits in the community.
Tracey’s Trailer Bike Safety Rodeo is run by Kosciusko County Velo (KCV) Cycling Club and focuses on teaching elementary-aged students how to ride a bicycle and bicycle safety rules. This provides students with the confidence to navigate their local neighborhoods or trails by bicycle. This specific event was attended by 285+ students from five Warsaw schools over the course of the day.
Nine KREMC employees volunteered over the course of the event, providing a total of 54 hours of combined community service. They assisted with passing out snacks and water, adjusting bike seats, and teaching kids to ride bicycles.
“I feel blessed to work for such an amazing company that encourages community give back, being able to be volunteer with Tracey’s trailers bike safety rodeo was amazing! I really enjoyed getting to work along fellow employees encouraging kids to not give up and keep trying, learning new things to stay safe and healthy riding bikes! This event and organization truly is a gift to the community. Pure joy!” said Sarah Marsh, Member Services Representative at KREMC.
